Welcome to the Abbot's Elm, thatched Country Inn and Restaurant with Rooms. Situated in the heart of the beautiful Cambridgeshire village of Abbots Ripton but just five minutes from the A1, the A14, and the ancient market town of Huntingdon, the recently reconstructed Abbot’s Elm has risen from the ashes of the 17th century Grade two listed Three Horseshoes Pub. Partially destroyed by fire in 2010 the original thatched building has been returned to its former glory.

Whilst from the outside the Abbot’s Elm is indistinguishable from the original, internally it has changed beyond recognition. The elegant brick fireplace has been retained in its original form but the low ceilings and pokey rooms have given way to an elegant open plan pub/restaurant flooded by natural light.

Food and drink...

Diners have the choice of an informal bar area with its interconnecting rooms and original 17th century brick fireplace or the slightly more formal 45-seat restaurant.

The Inn has been recognized by Michelin in both their restaurant & pub guides; by the Good Food Guide; Sawdays pub guide and many more.
